Volunteer Opportunities

Encouragement Cards

At Home

Encouragement Cards are something you can do by yourself or with a group. Materials needed can be simple (paper/crayons) or more elaborate (card stock/stickers/stamps/etc.) depending on what you’d like to do. Cards will be going to parents and seniors within our community.

  • Must be 16 years or older, 5 years with parental supervision.

At Home

Volunteers are needed to sew fabric face masks for BBC members, nonprofit staff and volunteers. CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.  The CDC advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Fabric face masks will be donated to Berean Baptist Church Raleigh members and to other non-profits in direct support of clients.

Since this project is done from home, we ask volunteers to provide their own equipment and supplies.

Please RESPOND and we will email you instructions and example patterns.

Volunteer Coordinator

At Home

The Volunteer Coordinator would help with posting, recruiting, and responding to potential volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator responds to volunteer emails; keep volunteer opportunity postings up to date or help contact local supporters to recruit volunteers for projects.

  • Must be 18 years or older
